DEFINITION

About Comprehensive Labs & Testing

Comprehensive functional medicine testing offers a detailed look at the systems driving your health — from gut and hormones to nutrients, detoxification, and inflammation. Rather than screening for disease, these panels reveal the imbalances behind chronic symptoms.

ADVANTAGE

How Labs and Tests Are Processed and Billed

LabCorp and Quest

Most routine and common blood panels are run through LabCorp or Quest, which bill insurance directly.

Specialty Labs

Some specialty panels can't be ordered through LabCorp, Quest, or standard hospital labs and must be processed through third-party companies. Most involve at-home collection of saliva, stool, urine, or blood (drawn at home by a mobile phlebotomist).

Because these tests require significant coordination on our end, a $100 administrative fee applies. This fee is not reimbursable by insurance.

Below are the specialty panels most commonly ordered at GWCIM.

Please note:

  • Specialty testing is not available in New York State due to state regulations.
  • Prices below may change. Many panels offer add-ons your provider may recommend, so your final cost may differ. Please refer to your provider's order and Hannah Fine's confirmation message for exact pricing.

Genova

For patients with commercial insurance, Genova requires a down payment/copay and will bill your insurance the remaining fees. Most Genova panels are completely covered with traditional Medicare (not Medicare Advantage). The only exception is the methylation panel, which they do not bill insurance for and is always out of pocket.

See the FAQ section for details on processing times, costs, and payment options for each particular test.
